AICPA Issues Technical Q&As on Employee Benefit Plan Audits

The AICPA has issued five technical Q&As related to the auditing of employee benefit plans. Specifically, the Q&As provide guidance on how paragraph 20 of AICPA Professional Standards, AU-C Section 703, “Forming an Opinion and Reporting on Financial Statements of Employee Benefit Plans Subject to ERISA,” should be considered in determining the relevancy of, testing, and documenting employee benefit plan provisions.
