FASB and ASBJ Hold Biannual Meeting

On April 17, 2023, the FASB held a meeting with the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ). The meeting was the 32nd in a series of biannual meetings that the two standard setters hold to further their “cooperative efforts to develop high-quality global accounting standards.” The two boards exchanged views on technical topics in which they both have an interest, including (1) the accounting for crypto assets and (2) international tax reform.
