SEC Updates C&DIs Related to Asset-Backed Securities

The staff in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance has updated its compliance and disclosure interpretations (C&DIs) related to asset-backed securities. Specifically, the staff (1) revised Question 112.01 on the appropriate forms to use to report public utility securitizations and (2) released new Question 112.02 on issues related to whether “public utility securitizations structured as series trusts” should be considered asset-backed securities.
