CAQ Releases IPTF Meeting Highlights

The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) has posted to its Web site highlights of the May 6, 2026, joint meeting between the CAQ SEC Regulations Committee, the International Practices Task Force (IPTF), and the SEC staff. Topics discussed at the meeting included:

• Public communications of SEC filers subject to the requirements of IFRS 18, Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements, including disclosure of management-defined performance measures (MPMs).
• Whether MPMs that are exempt from Regulation G must be presented in a foreign private issuer’s other SEC filings outside the financial statements (e.g., those on Form 20-F).
• The applicability of SEC Staff Accounting Bulletin Topic 4.C, “Change in Capital Structure,” to Canadian issuers eligible for the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System.
• Reconciliation requirements for financial statements of nonissuers.

The next IPTF meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2026.
