PCAOB Requests Comments on Standard-Setting Agenda

The PCAOB has released a request for comment on priorities for its future standard-setting agenda. This request for comment was, in part, developed in response to feedback the Board received on its March 2026 request for comment on its strategic priorities.

In addition to soliciting views on its research and technical agendas, the PCAOB is hoping for information that would help it solidify its general standard-setting approach as well as for commenters’ perspectives on how the SEC’s recent proposal related to semiannual reporting could affect PCAOB standards.
